Google's own names for about 115,000 countries, regions, cities and districts, to pass as a search's location.

You can send location in any words and we match it for you (see Location matching). Look a place up here when you want to pick the exact one yourself, then pass its canonical_name as location.

Response
A list of places: the exact name first, then names that start with your text, broader and bigger places first.

Place names come from Google's geotargets list; city populations for ranking from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
